Game Recap
Much like the 49ers season overall, Sunday against the Cowboys was a true rollercoaster. After an abysmal 1st half, the 49ers had their best quarter of the season in the 3rd quarter, and then managed to do just enough in the 4th quarter to hold onto the lead and secure the victory.
The 3rd quarter looked much more like the 49ers we came to expect last season, as opposed to the 49ers team we’ve gotten for much of this year. The offense looked in rhythm, the defense was getting stops, and the 49ers outscored the Cowboys 21-0 in the quarter, while only allowing 16 total yards for the Dallas offense. That dominant 49ers team is still in there, I just hope we can see a bit more consistency.
Can’t say enough good things about how rookies Isaac Guerendo and Ricky Pearsall stepped up to the plate when this team really needed them! The two rookies accounted for 179 of the 49ers 469 total yards in the game, and gave the 49ers a true spark. It’s mind-boggling how much of the rookie class is contributing for the 49ers already this season: Guerendo, Pearsall, Puni, Mustapha, Green, and Cowing to a lesser extent. Huge kudos to John Lynch and the scouting staff!
The schedule doesn’t get much easier after the bye week as the 49ers will be at Tampa Bay, home vs Seattle, at Green Bay, and then at Buffalo. We are going to need a lot more of the 3rd quarter 49ers as opposed to the 1st quarter 49ers 💯

Highlight of the Week
For Cowboys week, the highlight of the week HAS to be The Catch! Thank you Joe Montana and Dwight Clark for this incredible moment!

That’s all for today. Just like the players, we need to rest up and mentally prepare ourselves for the 2nd half of the season! It’s going to be a dog-fight the rest of the way. All I care is about getting into the playoffs and being relatively healthy. A high playoff seed and some home games would be awesome, but the most important thing is getting into the playoffs, and then anything can happen.
This bye week I’ll be resting my vocal chords so I can fervently cheer on this team the rest of the way!
Bang Bang Niner Gang!
